Robert Heap-Hammond

Robert studied for two years with Dorset artist Robert (Jeff) Pickering , and then for a further year at Yeovil College. During this period he became fascinated with the depth of colour and dynamism that abstract painting allowed him. Robert's work from this period has been exhibited within Somerset on two occasions.

During the past three years, Robert's commercial involvement within the digital media has changed his artistic focus away from painting abstracts on canvas, to that of creating vibrant digital images on computer.

The first exhibition of Robert's digitally created images was between 7th - 15th September 2002, in conjunction with Somerset Art Week:

And:

From 7th January 2003 - 15th February 2003 at Yeovil Arts Centre.

All Robert Heap-Hammond digital images have been produced using Adobe Photoshop. Most pieces originate from digital photographs and are then manipulated until the desired dynamism and vibrancy of colour is achieved - this can take up to 7 hours.
